Young Dancer Division

Is your child full of imagination, energy, and a love for movement?

Observation Made Stay Connected to Your Dancer’s Progress

Parents can view their child’s Young Dancer Division classes anytime through our TBC app, which features secure livestream access via SPOT TV. Only verified parents—and only those with a dancer in that specific class—are granted access.

Our Young Dancer Ballet classes include monthly mini-shows from January through March. On the final class of each month, parents are invited into the studio to watch the last five minutes as dancers perform their themed ballet dance.

For our Young Dancer AcroDance classes, we host a special in-house showcase in May—a fun opportunity to observe an entire class and celebrate all the skills your dancer has learned!

In our Ballet class, young dancers practice foundational steps—like relevéplié, and jeté—while also learning their fancy French names! Each class is filled with imaginative movement as we travel to magical lands, pretending to be flowers, fairies, birds, and more.

Every month is centered around a fun theme, such as Fairy Garden Adventure or It’s Spring! We also rehearse a special dance we can’t wait to perform for you during our mini-shows in January and March. Each class ends with a stamp or sticker to celebrate your child’s progress and build confidence.

This class is also part of our June Show performances on stage!

Our AcroDance class combines pre-tumbling and creative movement, perfect for our youngest dancers. This class builds strength, flexibility, coordination, and musicality—all while learning foundational skills like pike position, skipping, marching, pre-cartwheel, plié, and tendu.

Dancers also develop balance, locomotor skills (like hopping and jumping), teamwork, and classroom behavior skills in a playful and supportive setting.

This class is not part of our stage performances, but dancers will show off all they’ve learned in a special in-house showcase in May!

Fancy Feet (kindergarten & 1st grade)

Shooting Stars (2nd & 3rd grade)

In this class, dancers are introduced to the structure of a traditional ballet class, including barre, center work, and across-the-floor exercises. Each month, students learn age-appropriate choreography inspired by famous ballets like Swan LakeCinderellaThe Firebird, and more.

We focus on developing poise, technique, and artistry, while keeping the joy of learning alive. Class ends with a stamp or sticker to celebrate progress and effort.

This class is part of our Nutcracker and June Show performances.

This specialty class focuses on building core strength, proper alignment, and safe movement habits—key components of long-term dance success. Using fun tools like yoga blocks, pilates rings, balance discs, and imaginative visuals, dancers gain a deeper understanding of how their bodies move.

FUNdamentals is a non-performance class and is designed to be taken in addition to other dance classes for optimal growth and injury prevention.

This fast-paced, high-energy class is a favorite among dancers! Using age-appropriate music and moves, dancers explore traditional hip hop technique alongside today’s most popular styles. It’s a confidence-boosting class that builds rhythm, coordination, and swagger.

This class is part of our Holiday Show and June Show performances.

In this fun and energetic combo class, dancers learn the foundational elements of both Tap and Jazz—including turns, leaps, isolations, footwork, and more. We use carefully screened, kid-friendly music and offer plenty of exciting choreography and progressions.

All students in Tap/Jazz must also be enrolled in a ballet class. This class is included in both our Holiday Show and June Show performances.

Acro combines the fluidity of dance with the strength and precision of acrobatics. Dancers build flexibility, balance, and coordination while working on skills such as forward rolls, bridges, handstands, headstands, back rolls, and even partner work.

As dancers advance, they may begin learning more challenging skills like back handsprings and aerials, all in a safe, supportive environment. This class is perfect for high-energy students who love to move!
