Young Dancer Division

Does your child love to twirl, play, make believe and dress up?

We have a diverse list of classes to choose from!

Observation Made Easy

Our Young Dancer Division Ballet classes have mini-shows from January-March when we invite parents into our classroom to observe the last 5 minutes class (the last class every month) so that they can present their themed ballet dance!

Our Young Dancer Division AcroDance classes will have an in-house showcase in May during which you can come in and observe an entire class showcasing all they have learned!

Ballet: Dancers learn how a traditional ballet class works: barre, center & across the floor. Each month dancers learn details and age-appropriate choreography from a specific ballet such as Swan Lake, Cinderella, The Firebird & more. Class ends with your child getting a stamp or sticker to reward and celebrate his/her progress and success! This class is part of our Nutcracker and June Show performances.

FUNdamentals: This class will help to strengthen the core, work on proper alignment throughout the body (necessary for safe movement) Using FUN imagery and tools such as yoga blocks, pilates rings, balance discs, & more, we are able to present complex dance components helping them on a successful and safe dance journey. This class is NOT a performance class and should be in addition to other dance classes.

Beginner Hip Hop: Kids love this fast-paced high-energy class using today’s music (age-appropriate). Dancers learn traditional hip hop technique as well as today’s popular new moves! This class is part of our Holiday Show and June Show Performances.

Tap/Jazz Combo Class: Your child will enjoy this combo class during which they will learn the basics of both Tap & Jazz such as basic turns, leaps, isolations, footwork & all kinds of dance vocabulary, progressions, as the class is ready. We use carefully screened music & moves that are popular today and incorporate them into this super-fun class! All kids who take this class must be concurrently enrolled in a ballet class. This class is part of our Holiday Show & June Show performances.

Acro: Acro combines classical dance technique with precision acrobatic elements which work on balance, agility and gross motor coordination. Learn to move with a rhythmic and gymnastic quality. Acro is great for developing strength and flexibility. The perfect class for students with high energy. Acro will include mastering skills such as forward rolls, bridges, headstands, handstands, back rolls, back handsprings, aerials, etc. Acro will often include partner work as well.
